Collaboration between Green Yard Kleven and Prodtex

Green Yard Kleven and Prodtex have entered into a cooperation agreement on robotic steel production.

- This means that we can once again offer local robotic steel production to our customers, and we get to join in the development of the latest technology through the expertise of Prodtex - in our facilities. Through this agreement, both we and Prodtex can increase our capacity and flexibility considerably, says Hans Jørgen Fedog, CEO of Green Yard Kleven.

3-year cooperation agreement
This is initially a 3-year cooperation agreement, and Prodtex is already in the process of installing itself in the robot hall in the yard. The robot line has a capacity of up to 2,000 tonnes a year.

- We are very pleased to be able to establish ourselves at Green Yard Kleven. This increases our capacity which in turn allows us to take on more projects. We greatly appreciate the collaboration and are already starting some of the production, says the CEO of Prodtex, Sigbjørn Nordstrand.

Prodtex has a production facility in Vanylven and a design office in Ulsteinvik and operates robotic laser welding of various steel structures.

Increased demand in the market
Green Yard Kleven has for a long time had a wish to get robotic steel production started again at the yard. With increased demand for steel production capacity in the market, producing steel modules locally with robots is highly topical.

- It is gratifying that we have now found a good solution together with Prodtex. This is a win-win agreement for both companies, and we look forward to a good collaboration in the coming years, says Hans Jørgen Fedog.
